Suwinder Cooper is committed to improving individual, group and community relationships through dialogue, self-reflection, and action. By leveraging the core principles of equity, she fixates on implementing a measurable approaches to ameliorate social quality of life for those around her.

 

She facilitates understanding between people of diverse cultures and backgrounds to address implicit bias, disproportionality, school climate, and organizational culture. Her work focuses on a broad range of issues related to social justice, educational equity, socio-emotional learning and wellness.

She develops successful district wide and school wide equity and wellness strategic implementation plans, designs and delivers customized programs, conducted seminars, retreats, trainings and workshops in a variety of settings across California. She is a member of the Center for Leadership in Equity and Research an Equity Partner with the California Association of School Administrators.

Suwinder received her Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Masters in Education in Cross-Cultural Counseling  from the University of British Columbia, Canada. She has taught classes in education and counseling psychology at the University of British Columbia and at Vancouver Community College.

When Suwinder is not working, she spends much of her time reading literature, listening to music, and birdwatching.
